The 2023 Jaguar XF is the sole sedan in the Jaguar lineup for the 2023 model year. It captures all of the Jaguar brand hallmarks with distinct British styling, an elegant interior, and engaging performance all in a pretty practical sedan.
The Jaguar XF is a bit of a middle child in the world of midsize luxury sedans. It’s more expensive than the entry-level options in this class, like the Cadillac CT5 and Acura TLX. However, it’s still more affordable than its German rivals like the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Audi A6 by a considerable margin. This makes the XF a surprising value option in luxury sedans.
There are a few updates to the XF for the 2023 model year. Amazon Alexa is now included in the two upper trims, and adaptive cruise control comes standard on every trim. The two upper trims also get handsome new metal treadplates, and the R-Dynamic SE model has a new wheel design.
2023 Jaguar XF pricing starts at $40,590 for the XF P250 SE Sedan 4D, which had a starting MSRP of $50,575 when new. The range-topping 2023 XF P300 R-Dynamic SE Sedan 4D starts at $45,962 today, originally priced from $53,975.

The Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price for any individual used vehicle can vary greatly according to mileage, condition, location, and other factors. The prices here reflect what buyers are currently paying for used 2023 Jaguar XF models in typical condition when purchasing from a dealership. These prices are updated weekly.
The Jaguar XF is a pleasure to drive. It balances a smooth and serene daily drive with spirited driving dynamics when you want to enjoy yourself. The handling is quite agile, and it gets sportier if you add the optional Dynamic Handling Pack with an adaptive suspension system.
The XF is available with two powertrain configurations: P250 and P300. The base P250 setup makes 246 horsepower, while the top R-Dynamic SE model uses the more powerful P300 powertrain with 296 horsepower. The boost in performance is noticeable, and the P300 is the one to get if you want a sporty luxury car.
It’s hard to find fault in how the XF drives, but we can’t help but miss the supercharged V6 option discontinued a couple of years ago. The XF doesn’t offer any high-performance models competitive with the likes of the BMW M5 or Audi S6.
The Jaguar XF has a lovely interior, but its more expensive German rivals are a bit more premium. The interior design is pleasing, and the upscale materials make it comfortable. We’re happy to see standard-grained leather seats at this price point, and it has many customization options for interior trim, interior colors, different headliners, and so on.
Some midsize sedans in this class are disappointingly tight in the back seats, but that’s not the case with the XF. The back of this Jaguar has adult-friendly seats, making this a luxury sedan you could use as a family car. The trunk is also among the biggest in its segment.
The design of the Jaguar XF has a satisfying blend of traditional design cues and modern styling. The front end makes a statement with a prominent grille and a handsome light signature, while the profile has the unmistakable appearance of a sports sedan.
Upgrading to the R-Dynamic SE trim gives the XF a sportier appearance. It has 19-inch wheels, R-Dynamic badging, and just the right amount of black trim. Additionally, a Black Exterior Styling Package is available that delivers what it promises.
The dimensions of the Jaguar XF are average for a midsize luxury SUV. It’s the same sizing as the BMW 5 Series, Acura TLX, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
PIVI INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
The standard Pivi infotainment system uses a prominent 11.4-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and a Meridian premium audio system. The upper trims further add Amazon Alexa.
P300 POWERTRAIN
The P300 AWD powertrain with the top R-Dynamic SE trim adds extra excitement to the XF. It makes 296 horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds.
The base P250 S trim of the Jaguar XF is well-appointed for its price, making it a pretty good value in luxury cars. Standard features include grained leather seats, heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, ambient interior lighting, LED headlights, a panoramic moonroof, and power-folding mirrors.
The standard Pivi infotainment system uses an 11.4-inch screen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and a Meridian premium audio system. Other standard tech features include a garage door opener, a wireless charging pad, and push-button start.
Standard safety and driver assistance tech features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, a driver condition monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, emergency brake assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
Upgrading to the SE trim adds extra standard features and opens the door to more options you can’t get on the base model. Added standard features include 19-inch wheels, a memory driver’s seat and mirrors, bright metal pedals, metal treadplates, premium interior lighting, Amazon Alexa, automatic high beams, and traffic sign recognition with an adaptive speed limiter.
Some option packages and individual options you can get on the SE include the Black Exterior Styling Package, a Cold Climate Pack, a Convenience Pack, a Dynamic Handling Pack with an adaptive suspension, a head-up display, and more.
Finally, the R-Dynamic SE model upgrades to the more powerful P300 powertrain and other desirable standard features. It has a sporty appearance package, sport seats, an Ebony Morzine headliner, aluminum interior trim, and R-Dynamic branding inside and out. It has many of the same options as the SE trim.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine powers every 2023 Jaguar XF, but it’s available in two different tunings. The base P250 powertrain produces 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, while the stronger P300 powertrain bumps up those numbers to 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The two P250 trims have rear-wheel drive (RWD), and the P300 model has all-wheel drive (AWD). Every XF employs an 8-speed automatic transmission.
It’s worth noting that most midsize luxury sedans in this class have more variety under the hood. If you’re looking for a hybrid or a more high-performance sports sedan, you may want to cross-shop with the XF’s competitors.
