The Jaguar XF is the last sedan standing in the whole Jaguar lineup. It underwent a bit of a rebrand in the 2021 model year with a significant price cut, more standard tech features, and the discontinuation of the previously available V6 engine and Sportbrake wagon body. The result is a competitive, high-tech midsize luxury sedan at a surprisingly affordable price point.
The 2022 Jaguar XF is a carryover model without many notable changes. Keyless entry now comes standard on all models, and Premium Cabin ambient lighting is standard on the upper trims.
The XF is in a unique position between the more affordable Japanese and American options in this segment like the Acura TLX and Cadillac CT5, and more expensive German sport sedans like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. On top of its competitive price, the virtues of the XF include a roomy interior, agile handling, and good fuel economy.
2022 Jaguar XF pricing starts at $37,985 for the XF P250 S Sedan 4D, which had a starting MSRP of $46,575 when new. The range-topping 2022 XF P300 R-Dynamic SE Sedan 4D starts at $46,523 today, originally priced from $52,275.

The Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price for any individual used vehicle can vary greatly according to mileage, condition, location, and other factors. The prices here reflect what buyers are currently paying for used 2022 Jaguar XF models in typical condition when purchasing from a dealership. These prices are updated weekly.
Jaguar has a reputation for being on the sportier side of the luxury car world. The XF upholds that reputation with sharp handling and two satisfying powertrain options. The handling is super agile, and it’s eager around corners, but it’s also very comfortable thanks to a well-tuned suspension and features like All Surface Progress Control.
The base P250 powertrain delivers more than adequate power for daily driving. Still, enthusiasts with an appetite for performance will want to upgrade to the more powerful P300 setup, which comes standard with all-wheel drive.
The Jaguar XF is a satisfying car to drive, but we still miss the supercharged V6 that was discontinued last year. We would love to see a variant of the XF that’s competitive with the likes of the BMW M5 and the AMG variants of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but this turbo-4 will still satisfy most luxury car drivers.
The standard JaguarDrive Control system with Eco, Dynamic, Automatic, Normal, and Rain/Ice/Snow modes can help change the driving personality of the XF on the fly.
As its price tag suggests, the interior of the Jaguar XF is lovely but not quite up to the standards of more expensive class leaders like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The interior design looks premium, and the materials are high-quality. The standard grained leather seats are a nice touch at this price point. The tech features like the 11.4-inch Pivi infotainment system are well placed and easy for the driver to use.
Interior space is one of the strong suits of the Jaguar XF. This is a luxury sedan that you could use as a family car. There’s plenty of room in both rows of seats, and you won’t hear any complaints from your back-seat passengers. It also has a pretty spacious trunk, further adding to its practicality.
The Jaguar XF is an excellent execution of the British brand’s corporate design language on a midsize sedan. The front grille is big and bold but not too in-your-face, and a sleek light signature flanks it. The XF has a sporty profile with clean body lines that do an excellent job looking premium while hinting at the car’s performance.
The look of the XF changes a bit when you upgrade to the SE R-Dynamic model. The sporty R-Dynamic appearance package uses unique 19-inch wheels, subtle gloss black exterior trim, and R-Dynamic badging. You can add a Black Exterior Styling Package to the SE and SE R-Dynamic trims for a darker look.
The size of the Jaguar XF is right in line with the midsize luxury sedan class. Its dimensions are about the same as the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Acura TLX.
PIVI INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
The standard Pivi infotainment system has a beautiful 11.4-inch touchscreen packed with features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and a Meridian premium audio system. The available Pivi Pro system adds more connectivity features.
DYNAMIC HANDLING PACK
This option package for the upper trims makes the XF a sportier car to drive with Adaptive Dynamics and Configurable Dynamics while adding subtle styling upgrades like red brake calipers and a rear spoiler.
A generous list of standard features on the Jaguar XF includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a panoramic roof, All Surface Progress Control, Jaguar DriveControl with Eco, Dynamic, Automatic, Normal, and Rain/Ice/Snow drive modes, grained leather seats, heated front seats, 40/20/40 split folding back seats, faux wood interior trim, dual-zone climate control, a universal garage door opener, and wireless charging.
The standard Pivi infotainment system is an 11.4-inch screen loaded with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and a Meridian premium audio system.
Standard safety tech features in the XF include front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, a clear exit monitor, a rear traffic monitor, lane-keep assist, a driver condition monitor, and a backup camera.
The base S trim of the XF doesn’t have many extra features or option packages you can add. The SE trim adds some excellent standard features and unlocks many available options. SE builds on S with 19-inch wheels, a memory driver’s seat, bright metal pedals, premium interior lighting, the Pivi Pro infotainment system with an online pack with a data plan, automatic high-beams, a power-adjustable steering column, traffic sign recognition, an adaptive speed limiter, and illuminated sill plates.
The SE R-Dynamic trim is the sportiest and most luxurious variant of the XF. Building on the SE model, it adds the more powerful P300 AWD powertrain, a sporty appearance package, a black headliner, and sport seats with contrast stitching.
A couple of interior option packages for the SE and SE R-Dynamic trims include a Cold Climate Pack ($700) adding a heated steering wheel and heated front windshield and a Convenience Pack ($1,000) adding soft door close, a power rear sunshade, additional power sockets, and an Activity Key.
Enthusiasts will be interested in the Dynamic Handling Pack ($1,350) available for the two upper trims. It adds Adaptive Dynamics, Configurable Dynamics, and a couple of subtle styling upgrades like red brake calipers and a rear spoiler.
Some nice individual options available for SE and SE R-Dynamic include adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, an extended leather upgrade, ventilated and massaging front seats, and various options for wheels and interior trim.
Every 2022 Jaguar XF is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, which is available in two different tunings. The S and SE models use the P250 RWD powertrain, which strikes a nice balance of performance and efficiency.
The top SE R-Dynamic trim uses the P300 AWD powertrain, which serves up a nice boost in performance and a slight fuel economy penalty.
Every XF is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
