With a total of 690 hp and 582 lb-ft of torque in launch control mode, the GTS Sport Turismo can accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in an entertaining (and perhaps a little scary) 3.1 seconds. This variant also comes with the Sport Chrono package and push-to-pass feature as standard, bringing a brief 93-hp boost for overtaking. In real life, we’ve found this car’s thrust to be immediate and immense. For comparison, the Mercedes-AMG EQS has a maximum of 751 hp, but is slower to 60 mph by 0.3 of a second.
Here’s the thing about the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo — it’s not just a great luxury electric car, it’s also a superb Porsche, a fine example of the company’s expertise from the feel of the steering to the performance of the brakes. The drivetrain contains two motors and all-wheel drive (AWD). These motors can also provide torque vectoring for ultra-efficient cornering. That said, we still say the optional rear-wheel steering feature is worth considering, because it also enhances maneuverability at slow speeds.
Compared with an entry-level Taycan sedan, this GTS model has upgraded brakes and a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension. Buyers might also be tempted to take ride quality and handling to another level entirely with the Porsche Active Ride suspension for extra-fast responses that control body roll, pitch, dive, and squat. We’re always impressed by this incredible engineering feat whenever we encounter it.
If we had a gripe, it’s the feel of the brake pedal. There’s a bit of initial travel where nothing much happens, which can be disconcerting. Beyond that point, though, the brakes are wonderful. We drove a version with the optional carbon ceramic brakes and recommend choosing this (admittedly expensive) extra because the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo is so fabulously fast. It’s therefore more confidence-inspiring to have such effective stoppers under one’s foot.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The 2026 Taycan GTS Sport Turismo achieves a maximum range of 279 miles. This is with the standard-issue Performance Battery Plus. We’ve found Porsche’s range estimates to be achievable in real-world driving, and perhaps even a little understated. For some kind of context, the Tesla Model S (with a hatchback) has a maximum of 402 miles. But a Taycan’s appeal goes far beyond range. The Mercedes-AMG EQS is capable of 315 miles.
According to Porsche, charging the battery from 10% capacity to 80% takes 18 minutes on a DC fast charger’s highest setting. That’s a couple of minutes quicker than last year, and the Taycan lineup was already among the fastest in this respect. Using a home charger with a 240-volt supply, a full recharge takes about 9.5 hours, which is fine for overnight replenishment.

From the nose to the B-pillars, this GTS Sport Turismo looks like a typical member of the Taycan family. Further back, however, comes the Turismo tail, more along the lines of a hatchback or wagon. We like this non-conformist take on a luxury electric car, offering a blend of performance and practicality. For a bit of extra presence, 20-inch alloy wheels are standard.
Charging ports are on both sides, which is extra convenient. A broad choice of paint colors is also available, including the option of matching to a customer-supplied sample.

Wireless phone integration 
Cable-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard in every new Taycan. Apple CarPlay goes deep into the car’s systems. There’s also a cooled wireless charging pad. An In-Car Video feature allows streaming on the center and front passenger screens.
Porsche Intelligent Range Manager 
A standard feature throughout the whole 2026 Taycan lineup, this will calculate the most energy-efficient route, taking into account factors like real-time traffic and any charging requirements along the way.
Porsche Electric Sport Sound 
This might seem a bit cheesy in theory, a manufactured sound meant to simulate the growl and bark of a combustion engine and its exhaust system. In practice, we felt the hairs on the backs of our necks go up as the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo zipped past us.
Burmester audio 
It’s an option, and isn’t exactly a bargain. But we think this 21-speaker/1,455-watt surround-sound system with Dolby Atmos is about the best, most detailed, most immersive setup you will find in a car.
Variable Light Control 
Available with the panoramic glass roof, it can darken or lighten the glass electronically.

Classy, Sporty Interior

Interior

A mix of luxury and bespoke Porsche sportiness distinguishes the cabin of the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. For example, there are standard adaptive sport front seats with 18-way power adjustment (they feel ideal), plus a heated GT Sport steering wheel that we think is exactly the right size.
Technology makes its presence felt in the 16.8-inch curved display that houses a digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, while the dashboard is topped off by the clock that comes with the standard-issue Sport Chrono package.
In usual Taycan fashion, this version is a 4-seater with two rear seats (a rear center seat is optional) and a decent amount of rear legroom. A fixed panoramic roof is also standard.
Cargo space behind the rear seats measures 14.3 cubic feet, expanding to 41.4 cubic feet when those seats are folded down. And all Taycans have an additional 2.9 cubic feet of space under the hood.

The Sport Turismo has a wagon/hatchback-like treatment at the rear, instead of a conventional trunk. Even though there are hundreds of choices in the new-car market, there’s nothing else like a Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo. Buyers might also be interested in a Taycan Cross Turismo, especially if they’d like less or more power. One possible alternative could be the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-amg-eqs/">Mercedes-AMG EQS</a>, which comes with a hatchback and a price similar to this Porsche. The Performance Battery Plus energizes the 2026 Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, endowed with optimized thermal management and the ability to charge at high currents. When using an 800-volt charging station, the rate is 320 kW. To maximize charging speeds on a 400-volt network, Porsche also adds a 150-kW DC/DC converter as standard. The battery’s gross capacity is 105 kilowatt-hours (kWh), with a usable net capacity of 97 kWh.
The EPA rates the Taycan Sport Turismo&#8217;s combined efficiency rating at 82 MPGe. That translates to respectably low energy costs, but rivals from Tesla, Lucid, and Mercedes-Benz use electrons more efficiently.
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Porsche’s new-vehicle warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. These arrangements are typical among European luxury vehicles.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
Neither sedan nor Turismo (wagon) versions of the Taycan have been crash-tested by any agencies in the United States, but an independent European test program (Euro NCAP) gave the car a maximum overall score of five stars.

Power, Ride, and Handling

The 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by a 277-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). This is impressive potency for a base engine in this class. We’ve tested the Santa Fe full of children, and it never felt lacking in daily driving duties or highway passing, and it always remained smooth, comfy, and reasonably quiet. It’s an SUV that reliably does what the driver needs it do to.
Hyundai&#8217;s Highway Driving Assist system has long been one of our favorite semi-autonomous systems of its kind. It’s available here in two versions. The top Calligraphy trim has Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane-changing assistance. Basic smart cruise control with stop and go (a standard feature in the Santa Fe) is commendable, and an absolute boon in both open highway and congested traffic situations.
Most of our testing so far has been in a Calligraphy model. Still, we must give a shout-out to the Santa Fe XRT, the rugged variant with extra ground clearance (8.3 inches, as opposed to the usual 7.0 inches), greater towing ability (4,500 pounds versus 3,500), and all-terrain tires. On an off-road course that was more challenging than the type of terrain most Santa Fe owners will ever tackle, we found the XRT surprisingly capable. With its all-wheel-drive system set to Lock mode for even torque distribution, the XRT Santa Fe scampered up steep, rutted, and rocky trails and took the fear out of descending those trails with its hill descent control. Its new Mud, Snow, and Sand modes make it even easier to manage in varied terrains.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
The Hyundai Santa Fe is rated at up to 20 city/29 highway/24 combined mpg with front-wheel drive and 20 city/28 highway/23 combined mpg with all-wheel drive. The taller XRT model with knobbier tires returns 19 city/26 highway/22 combined mpg.
These efficiency ratings are about average for a midsize SUV. Meanwhile, the hybrid version of the Hyundai Santa Fe boasts up to 36 combined mpg, yielding lower fuel costs than the non-hybrid by about $54/month, according to <a href="https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/make.shtml" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EPA</a> estimates.

Boxy Exterior

The boxy Hyundai Santa Fe has a rugged yet modern look, and the &#8220;H&#8221; motif in the LED lighting is a Santa Fe hallmark. Its sharp angles, straight lines, and floating roof design give the illusion that it’s bigger than it is.
We’d understand if you were confused by Hyundai offering three different models in the midsize 3-row SUV class. In addition to the Santa Fe, there’s the bigger <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/palisade/">Hyundai Palisade</a>, which is available with gas or hybrid powertrains, and the more upscale <a href="https://www.kbb.com/hyundai/ioniq-9/">Hyundai Ioniq 9</a>, which is all-electric. We bring them up to clarify that the Santa Fe is the smallest and most affordable 3-row option in the Hyundai lineup.

Powered tailgate 
If there’s one feature we always (and we mean always) appreciate in an SUV, it’s this. Even better, this one has hands-free operation and adjustable height settings. Better still — it’s standard across the lineup.
Built-in grab handle 
Hyundai really meant it when it said the Santa Fe was designed to be an activity vehicle, one where you might put stuff on the roof. To help you get up there is an ingenious hidden grab handle in the C-pillar above the rear wheel. It’s flush until it’s pressed, and it’s even lockable.
Dual wireless charging pads 
There’s no need to fight the passenger to juice up with this thoughtful feature, now standard in the XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy trims.
Bi-directional center console 
The Santa Fe features a dual-level center console, the top of which flips up from the front or back for easy access from either of the first two rows. We think this is a brilliant idea.
Hyundai Digital Key 2 
Standard in all but the base model, this feature enables you to use your phone as a key to lock, unlock, and start the Santa Fe. Plus, you can share this digital key with up to three people.
Blind-Spot View Monitor 
Standard in the Limited and Calligraphy trims, this ingenious feature displays real-time video of the left and rear sides of the vehicle in the instrument cluster when you initiate the turn signal.
Hyundai Pay 
We’re always happy to see technology like this. It allows users to pay for things like parking and gas directly from the touchscreen while safe inside the vehicle. For example, there’s no need to swipe a credit card at a sketchy gas station and risk getting the number skimmed. It&#8217;s standard in XRT and higher trims.

Quality Interior

We’re big fans of the Santa Fe’s features, roominess, practicality, and interior design. Hyundai offers a Panoramic Curved Display integrating the infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster in one seamless unit. We’ve found it works well, conveying all the necessary information without being overwhelming.
A twist-to-drive column shifter opens up the center console where a traditional gear lever would usually go. Now that space holds the wireless phone charging pad (dual wireless charging pads come on higher trims). Materials are of impressive quality. With a nod to sustainability, the Santa Fe comes with recycled plastic in the seatbacks, mats, and headliner. Fine Nappa leather seating surfaces are available. Our only gripe is that most climate functions, including fan speed, rely on touch-sensing technology rather than a physical control. At least it still has knobs for temperature control.
This generation of Santa Fe comes with three rows of seating as standard. Most variants have a second-row bench and seating for up to seven; the 6-seater Calligraphy has a pair of exceptionally comfortable captain’s chairs in the second row. Unsurprisingly, the larger Palisade SUV has more space for people and stuff, but the Santa Fe still has plenty of legroom (42.3 and 30 inches in rows two and three, respectively). This is a pretty good third row, but still best reserved for children and occasional use. This SUV also has ample cargo space — 14.6 cubic feet behind the third row, 40.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and 79.6 cubic feet when all of the back seats are folded down.
Those second and third rows fold nearly flat, while the huge tailgate complements an equally sizable aperture leading into what Hyundai calls a &#8220;terrace-like&#8221; space inside. The result (and intention, according to Hyundai’s designers) is a place where owners can tailgate or even sleep.

The Hyundai Santa Fe fills a unique niche in the world of <a href="https://www.kbb.com/suv/best-3-row-suvs/">3-row SUVs</a>. Although on the smaller and more affordable side of its class, it still brings tons of versatility with its spacious interior that has a third row of seats when you need it, and a generous cargo hold when you don’t. A potent standard turbocharged engine delivers a confident driving experience, while impressive safety ratings and class-leading warranty coverage enhance the Santa Fe’s credentials as a sensible choice in midsize SUVs. Engine and Transmission

A turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine endows the Santa Fe SUV with 277 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. This goes through an 8-speed automatic transmission to a standard configuration of front-wheel drive, or optional all-wheel drive (the XRT has all-wheel drive as standard).
<h3>5-Year/60,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
The Santa Fe enjoys class-leading warranty coverage. Hyundai’s excellent coverage includes a 5-year/60,000-mile (whichever happens first) basic warranty, a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and a 3-year/36,000-mile complimentary maintenance plan.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
The Hyundai Santa Fe boasts excellent safety ratings, which is what you want in a family vehicle. It’s the recipient of the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (<a href="https://www.iihs.org/ratings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IIHS</a>), earning the top &#8220;Good&#8221; score in almost every category of its testing. Meanwhile, it gets a 4-Star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (<a href="https://www.nhtsa.gov/ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NHTSA</a>).
Standard safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, full-speed adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assistance.

The Hyundai Santa Fe gets a few small but important updates for the 2026 model year. Few will notice, but the old 8-speed DCT transmission has been swapped for a traditional 8-speed automatic without a dual-clutch setup. A couple of safety features that are now available across all trims are automatic emergency braking with junction turning/driver oncoming monitoring, and full-speed adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality. There are also new Terrain Modes (Mud, Snow, Sand) for the rugged XRT trim and some shuffling of features in the upper trims, including the old Forest Green Beige interior option being swapped for Pecan Brown.

The 2026 Taycan Cross Turismo offers a choice of drivetrains, each with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive. The 4 has 429 hp and, using launch control, will sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in a brisk 4.5 seconds. That all sounds great and more than adequate. However, we’re talking about Porsche here, so there’s always a chance for greater muscle and higher speeds.
Like the 4S, for example, that zaps the 60 mph mark in 3.6 seconds thanks to 590 hp. Then come the Turbo models, which don’t have turbochargers, but we interpret this as Porsche’s way of saying “exceptionally powerful.”
The regular Turbo has a considerable 871 hp and hits 60 mph in only 2.6 seconds. Or the Turbo S shaves 0.2 of a second from that time with its immense 938 hp. All these power figures are the maximum available when using launch control.
As well as speed, the Taycan Cross Turismo is also adept at handling, containing and channeling all the forces created by such energy-rich motors. An adaptive air suspension is standard, with settings stretching from comfortable to sporty. The optional Porsche Active Ride suspension will smooth out bumps as if they didn’t exist and perform the same electrohydraulic magic on body roll, acceleration squat, and braking dive. Rear-wheel steering is also available, and we think it’s well worth the investment because it helps make the Taycan Cross Turismo feel nimbler through the turns and more maneuverable in tight spaces.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The best range of 277 miles is achieved by the entry-level Cross Turismo 4. The 4S manages 272 miles, the Turbo comes in at 265 miles, and the Turbo S manages 261 miles. There aren’t any other all-electric luxury wagons for direct comparison, although the Tesla Model S (with a hatchback) has a maximum of 402 miles. But as we’ve said before and will no doubt say again, no one buys a Porsche Taycan just for its range. We’ve found Porsche’s range estimates translate well to the real world and seem understated at times.
According to Porsche, charging the battery from 10% capacity to 80% takes 18 minutes on a DC fast charger’s highest setting. That compares well with other fast-charging EVs. Using a home charger with a 240-volt supply, a full recharge takes about 9.5 hours, which is fine for overnight replenishment.

Practical Yet Cool Exterior

This Taycan Cross Turismo variant brings a wagon-like practicality (and, dare we say, coolness) to the rear end. It also has SUV-like plastic cladding on the sides, and a maximum ground clearance of 6.9 inches at the standard air suspension’s highest setting. That’s still not a lot for the roads less traveled, but at least there’s a choice between this and the other Taycan variants.
At 16.3 feet, the Taycan Cross Turismo is only about half an inch longer than its sedan stablemate. We review the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo variant separately. We also cover the Taycan sedan in a standalone review.
Porsche endows every Taycan with matrix-design LED headlights and LED taillights, and charging ports are now on both sides, which is wonderfully convenient. The company also offers a broad choice of paint colors, including the option of matching to a customer-supplied sample.

Wireless phone integration 
Cable-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the 2026 Taycan lineup. Apple CarPlay goes deep into the car’s systems. There’s also a cooled wireless charging pad. And an In-Car Video feature allows streaming in the center and front passenger screens.
Porsche Intelligent Range Manager 
A standard feature in the Taycan Cross Turismo is that it will calculate the most energy-efficient route, taking into account factors like real-time traffic and any charging requirements along the way.
Remote Park Assist 
By using a phone app, drivers can control their Taycan Cross Turismo with this optional feature, slotting it into (or out of) parallel or perpendicular parking spaces while standing outside.
InnoDrive 
Otherwise known as Porsche’s adaptive cruise control. It’s linked to the navigation system, taking topography and curves into account, sensing traffic around the vehicle, and keeping the car in its lane. This is optional in the 2026 Taycan Cross Turismo.
Variable Light Control 
Available with the panoramic glass roof, it can darken or lighten the glass electronically.
Plug &amp; Charge 
Plug &amp; Charge means that as you connect to a charger, the system recognizes your Taycan Cross Turismo and uses the credit card information on file for a simple and streamlined process.

Spacious Interior

We’ve found the Taycan Cross Turismo roomy enough for four adults. It offers a small rear center seat as an option. We’re also impressed by the quality of the cabin materials, the fit and finish, and the combination of luxury and technology. In typical Porsche fashion, this cabin is supremely luxurious with a distinctly sporty character and, in this case, wagon practicality.
The Cross Turismo has a cargo space advantage over its Sport Turismo sibling, with 15.8 cubic feet behind the rear seats (as opposed to 14.3), expanding to 42.8 cubic feet (instead of 41.4) when those seats are folded down. All Taycan bodies have an additional 2.9 cubic feet of stowage under the hood.

As long as there are chargers along the way, the Taycan Cross Turismo is a heck of a car to take on a family road trip. It’s stable, comfortable, and confident, and its wagon-like tail adds a practical element. Standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and a slightly raised ride height allow it to handle a dirt road or two.
The Taycan Cross Turismo is a novel variation of the excellent Taycan sedan, bristling with many of the qualities that have made <a href="http://www.kbb.com/porsche/">Porsche</a> the legend it is today. This model launched for the 2021 model year, 12 months after the sedan made its debut. It’s an electric car for driving enthusiasts who also happen to have families and need that extra versatility.

In the absence of any like-for-like competition, we suggest looking at rivals with hatchbacks instead of trunks, such as the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/tesla/model-s/">Tesla Model S</a> or the Audi S6 Sportback e-tron, both beginning far below the Taycan Cross Turismo. Or perhaps the high-luxury <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-eq-eqs/">Mercedes-Benz EQS</a> that also undercuts this Porsche, albeit by a smaller margin.

The battery in the 2026 Taycan Cross Turismo has a gross capacity of 105 kilowatt-hours (kWh) and a usable net capacity of 97 kWh. Clever thermal management allows it to charge at high currents. When using an 800-volt charging station, the rate is 320 kW. To optimize charging speeds on a 400-volt network, Porsche also includes a 150-kW DC/DC converter as standard.
The EPA gives the Taycan Cross Turismo a combined efficiency rating of 77 to 81 MPGe, depending on the configuration. This EV has respectably low fuel costs, but rivals from Tesla, Lucid, and Mercedes-Benz all use electrons more efficiently.
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Porsche’s new-vehicle warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The battery is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. These arrangements are typical among European luxury vehicles.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
Neither sedan nor Turismo (wagon) versions of the Taycan have been crash-tested by any agencies in the United States, but an independent European test program (Euro NCAP) gave the car a maximum overall score of five stars.

The infotainment system receives some upgrades for 2026, resulting in faster responses and the ability to download third-party apps. Amazon Alexa can also be employed with the voice-activated digital assistant. In addition, the optional Bose and Burmester surround-sound systems gain Dolby Atmos enhancement for a detailed and immersive listening experience.
