"Just did a test drive"

Just finished test driving this car WOW was I surprised. It did not feel like a small car at all I`m 6ft. 200lbs. I had all the room I needed to drive.Steering was very responsive and when I ran over a few pot holes in the street it handled them more like a larger car.On the same day I test drove the KIA I also test drove a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Focus.I was leaning towards Ford because hey I`m an American. After driving them I changed my opinion I do not like the feel of the transmission at all it felt like it was never truly in gear almost like it was slipping.I realize this is just how it was designed but I don`t care for it.I also did not like the steering response to me it felt like it was one step behind I felt that it had to think about turning. So KIA is the way I`m going

Critical Review

"This is awful"

I've had this car for just over a week as a rental since my last car was totaled and it has been the biggest pain. I have had to fill the gas tank up 3 times in the week. I have used it mostly for work (I live 15 minutes away from my job) and one social gathering that was only 30 minutes away. The mileage is terrible and the tank is small. If this were my previous car it wouldn't even be close to half empty. The seats are terribly uncomfortable. Anyone who I have given a ride to has complained not only about the comfort of the seats, but the leg room as well. Unless I put the AC on the cool air setting only blows out warm air. It cannot handle little gusts of wind... and I'm not even talking about heavy gusts of wind that would kind of rattle your car while driving. No, just enough wind to blow some leaves across the road and not even rustle any trees. The doors unlock the moment I put my car into park. Something I really greatly dislike. I will unlock my doors when I'm ready to. I'm not about to have my doors unlock all at once in the middle of the city, in the middle of the night, when I'm by myself. I will never get one and if I can help it I will never get in another one again.

Good little car.

I bought this car almost new and have enjoyed all 10 years of owning it. It is surprisingly quick when it needs to be and soo quiet. The only thing I ever complained about was the no power windows or locks (but honestly that was my fault).

Kia Review

I have a 2016 Kia Rio. The car has been very dependable. I have had pretty good luck with it. Although it has been hit twice. And someone tried to break in, but they couldn't get into the car. They just messed up my lock. In this day and age I feel lucky.

Bullet proof!
Pros

Highly reliable and durable drive train. Good gas mileage.

Cons

Tight on space.

I've owned a 2013 Rio LX hatch since 2015. It had 32k miles at the start and now has almost 110k. It has given me absolutely no problems that couldn't be fixed with a regular replacement item (battery, brakes, tires, etc.). Handling, power, etc, have been pretty good for a car in this category. It has good throttle response, better than my spouse's newer, more powerful Chevrolet Cruze. Cargo space is a bit small, but better than the sedan when the rear seats are down. All in all, I would highly recommend, particularly for a durable commuter vehicle.

Engine failure

Worst vehicle ever bought, heard about some engine problems due to chain failure , but went for the car anyways. Guess what- chain failed and damaged engine after I’ve done mere 8000 miles ( 79.000 done altogether as I wasn’t 1st owner) . Replaced the whole engine just for the story to repeat again few months later. Never again.

Kia Rio Hatch
Pros

Good fuel economy, great handling, cheap parts

Cons

More adjustments on seat, bigger screen

One of the best smaller cars that I've ever had. Great on gas, handles very well on Hwy or in town. Safe care to drive as well. I ditched it on black ice and it rolled it at 80kms and although it was totalled, I waked away with sore ribs. I'm trying to find another one to replace it as we speak.

Too many cons in the long run

For the LX... Cons: -Currently one of the top cars that is most vulnerable to theft. *Make sure it has the anti-theft software upgrade! Get a steering wheel lock too. -Alarm is not connected to the windows, only the doors. Your alarm will not sound if a window is busted out. -As bare-bones when it comes to features as you can get. Plastic seat adjusters can break. -No touchscreen or backup camera. No Bluetooth. -No middle console. No lock on glovebox. -Poor interior lighting. No lights on visors or any switches above. Only interior light is the overhead in between front and back seats. -Air vents don't have a large range of motion. If you live in a hot climate, this car doesn't cool off quickly. Holds heat in too. -No backseat air vents. -Tires are very small and you feel every bump in the road. Your tire pressure light will be on a lot. Not a quiet drive either. -Sits very low to the ground. -Almost a little too small. Pro: -Very budget friendly -Gas mileage is pretty good. -Haven't had any major mechanical issues even after owning for a few years. -Very light and agile. -Very spacious trunk. -Not a bad looking exterior body.

Horrible Acceleration and. Too Small

I just bought mine in March and I already want to get rid of it. Terrible gas mileage even in eco mode, extremely slow acceleration, it struggles and it is too small. Very cheaply made interior. I've already had pieces fall off the inside door. Would not recommend at all.
