It's an ok car... She gets great gas mileage. I can drive from Jackson Hole to Salt Lake on one $27 tank of gas. Don't even try getting up any kind of incline without getting significant momentum or you'll be in 4th gear going 15mph. If you live in a flat city and never plan on leaving, this car is ok. For anyone who even has a steep driveway..... keep looking.

Good on gas well made car
I bought this car for my daughter in 2015 and she drove it until 2024. The car is still going strong. Best car I have ever purchased. Never had any problems with the car only did maintenance. We just sold the car to a friend for her grandson. I am sure he will get through college with this car. It’s a fun car to drive with a lot of pep
Best car I have ever owned. I have had no issues what so ever since the day I bought it. It was made December 2008 and I bought it January 2009. She only had 18kms on the clock and was the most reliable car I've ever had in my life. I would recommend for anyone to buy one. So Happy I did
Great on gas, reliable and fun to drive
Not the smoothest of rides
This is my third Rio. I bought it new in 2006. It just celebrated its 18th birthday and has 230500 miles on it. It's great on gas and so fun to drive! (Its a manual transmission) It's got enough get up and go. No major repairs, just regular maintainance and a couple of sensors that recently gave up. I highly recommend it!
Reliable Easy to maintain

Great value car. My 2009 Rio5 gets ran hard in the metro, and periodically tows a single snowmobile trailer and 12ft boat. I use a quart of oil between changes with 155k mi, but I put mine through severe duty. It has well paid for itself and the $11,988 I paid for it. I got a $3k payout for hail damage, $1,800 for a rear end collision by a Silverado, and I'm still driving it without even having to replace a tail light tho my lower bumper facia got cracked. This car has been through a war for me after 13.5 years and still runs strong. Definately old faithful with good routine maintenance.
We bought one that was not cared for, put a little money in it then fixed her up and has been doing great so far.
Dependable the car just never ever breaks down.

Compact space for a family of 4 or w/ a child seat
Bought mine at an auction and drove it from Alabama to California. No issues and no worries! LOVED the feel of carefree and the free-spirited driving. Parking was a breeze as the car was small enough to fit literally anywhere. Plus the mpg was so much sometimes i forget when I filled the tank!!
