Positive Review
I'm 50 years old and this is the BEST car I have ever owned. I have owned 4 BMW's (all 3 series) and this is BY FAR the best. The 6 series tops them all!!!!! I have owned Mercedes, Range Rovers, Mazada's, Honda's, Nissan's...and a few American models too. I have also owned this car longer than any other car. Just can't seem to part with it. When I do...I will be getting another BMW 6 Series. Handles like NOTHING else out there. My only advise, get a used one....the price tag on a new one will kill the wallet!!!
Critical Review
This car's engines are very delicate and unreliable. Known for leaking oil. Electronics are very complex and upgrades have to be done on a yearly basis. Save yourself a headache and don't buy this car. 335i is a much more reliable vehicle. Any Mercedes Benz is a great buy!

The most fun car I have ever owned absolutely amazing ๐ช๐พ๐๐ฟ๐๐๐พand I have owned well over 20 vehicles with 10 of them being bmwโs very reliable car,,
Very fast with luxury ride
Great car, comfortable as heck with sport seats and being very fast with over 25 mpg on freeway trips. Bought used for $12,500 with 42,000 miles compared to new of over $80,000. Therefore never buy new as horrible depreciation first few years. I change oil every year, regardless of low annual miles. Leather interior holds up well - looks new inside . Timeless design
This car is a great value. It has a whole lot of git-up and go. I've put about 40k on it since i purchased and have had no mechanical problems. Be sure and rotate tires every 4k
Unique
Every kid on the road wants to race.
Fantastic car. They don't hold their value due to the fear of repair costs but this has been the most reliable car I have ever had. And I have had two new MB and a CPO MB.
NEVER
NO CONS
SMOKING VALVE SEALS BAD OIL LEAKING BEHIND WATER PUMP COOLANT PIPE UNDER INTAKE LEAKING SMELING OF COOLENT TOP STICKS GOING UP OR DOWN JUST A BAD CAR WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BMW WILL GO WITH MERCEDES
Put a smile on my face daily for 5 years.
Eats engine gaskets and they're always $1,000 oil
I put 60,000 miles on it over 5 years. Every time I got inside it put a smile on my face. Very expensive to service. Kind of like owning a pet. You just do it cuz you love it.
Fun to drive, decent performance and mileage
Poor engine quality, uses oil, expensive to fix.
I bought this car with 69,000 miles on it, very clean. Had no real issue with the car until I discovered that if it idled for more than a few minutes, it started to smoke. After doing a little research I learned that the 4.8 ltr V-8, which has been produced the same way for years and used across several model lines, has defective valve seals which can fail after just a few years. The dealer wants upwards of $6,000 to correct this known and multi year defect. Also, when the car is driven in cold weather, the anti lock/anti spin system will cause a momentary loss of engine power, then go offline. Restarting the car resets it, and the dealership has no idea what's causing it. Since I did the brakes and cleaned everything at each wheel with an aerosol electrical cleaner, it hasn't done it, yet...but the dealership being clueless is disturbing. Overall, I like the car. It drives great, decent trunk space for weekend trips, but the few defects it has are brutally expensive to fix. You would think that a $71,000 car would be a bit better thought out, and backed better by the company that sells it. That valve seal defect is a deal breaker, and I won't buy another BMW. Next car's a 'Vette.
Reliable! Great driving experience! Great looking!

I've owned this car for a few years. I bought it as my commuter car for work and put a lot of mileage on it. Its been extremely reliable. A pleasure to drive. Timeless good looks. Better than I expected average gas mileage 19.8mpg. I get lots of compliments and thumbs up. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
