Positive Review
I have had this car for 8 months now with zero complaints. The cars fit and finish is flawless and the engine and especially the transmission are a work of art. The 14 speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, although quite remarkable is a waste of money because I enjoy hearing the sound of the car as it burps and growls through the gears so much more. Even just going to the grocery store has become pleasurable because it gives me one more reason to let this monster out of its cage. This is not my first Audi and I test drove absolutely every sports car on the market with a back seat before falling instantly in love with the performance and handling of this masterpiece of German engineering. If the is a con to owning this car I have yet to find it. By the way, do yourself a favor and get an Escort Passport Max radar detector, because you are going to need it!
Critical Review
The car has electrical problems that Audi cannot fix nor did they know that it existed in most RS5 vehicles. Lights flicker which is a result of a random uncontrollable power surge. The dashboard lights flicker, the dome light flickers, the outlets don't work. If you plug in any of your devices into the 12Volt outlet they short out and turn off. Audi does not know how to fix the problem even though they have replicated it in other vehicles. Every time you get in the car the radio is on at an obscene level. This also is a "feature" that you cannot adjust. Navigation glitches like it's meth addict...

The 2012-2015 Audi RS5 is simply a spectacular car. I drove a 2010 v8 S5 for 120,000 miles and loved the platform. The design, the fit & finish, the usability, everything about this platform is spectacular and sexy. Then my S5 got old and I was desperate to replace it with something as fun or better. After looking for 2 years I found a low mileage 2014 RS5, and I have not been disappointed. The engine is a beast - sharing basic design with the Audi R8's v10 (not to be confused with the R8's v8 which was a lower tech build). It is powerful, it sounds sublime, if I drive like an adult on the highway I get 25mpg. It is very hard to drive it at legal speeds. There won't be more naturally aspirated v8's built. Get one now!
High rev naturally aspirated V8 that turns heads
Gas eater
Drive an RS5 and you will instantly fall in love with the naturally aspirated rumble of the V8 engine. This car has beautiful lines unmatched by most cars in it's class. You can take this car on the track and keep up with the best of them one day and pull into a lot full of luxury cars and stand out the next day.
Such a timeless design and OMG the experience.
Speed Limits
This car evokes such a great driving experience, confidence and connection to the road you are driving. Nothing beats driving it in the mountains with windows down.
Fun to drive. Very handsome.
Suspension--sure wish it was adaptable.
I love my car. However, its foible is the non-adjustable, stiff, sports suspension. European models were delivered with adjustable suspension, but some U.S. rule prevented its use here. It haas had some issues like infant brake rotor failure which was certainly not me as I don't push it at all, but the dealer covered the repair since I've done so much business with them.,
Performance, exhaust note, quality of build
Harsh ride on 20” rims, soft on torque
Spent more than I intended, but never regretted it since. Still gets the looks and the engine/exhaust note from the 4.2 liter V8 is incredible. Not the quickest off the line, but the smoothness of the rev curve is awesome. Would buy this beast again. Too bad the V8 has been replaced by a turbo six cylinder.
Luv it!
Needs bigger gas tank.
The car fits a suit or shorts and a T-shirt.
Sounds great, handles great and def fun to drive
too small of a gas tank
Ive owned lots of cars over the years and this RS5 really impressed me, yea it only has 450hp but I already got pulled over twice for speeding so I dont think I want anything more, it has just enough hp for when you need it. its def built like an expensive car, well made looks like a real sleek car, I love how and drives and feels the only thing I wish it had was a bigger gas tank, it only seems to hold about 16 gals +/- which makes for allot of stops at the gas station, but other than that Audi has made a real nice sports car with this RS5, now Id like to upgrade to the R8...
Sports car performance, everyday practicality
Gas tank could be bigger
Truly 2nd only to the R8 over all as a driver's car and also totally practical as a daily driver and Grand Tourer. With a set of Nokian studded tires flawless behavior in VT's tough winters. Fit and finish as always with Audi are beyond reproach. Rear seats are for children only, I got in, once, and took 20 minutes to extricate myself. Tire life on the P Zeroes is better than expected, I am still on the original set, with probably another summer to go. Will probably switch to Michelin PSS when time to change. The car is red body, with black everything else. Looks fabulous, I have had Wows from Canadian and US border patrol folk! I realize that this glorious machine is no longer made, but if you can find a CPO vehicle buy it!
